Character standees have been added outside of some of the golden archways at the Epic Universe Preview Center in Universal CityWalk Orlando.
Epic Universe Preview Center Character Standees
The Epic Universe Preview Center opened in June, taking over the space formerly occupied by the Universal Legacy Store. We provided a full tour of the location shortly after it opened.
When the center opened, golden archways, such as the one above, were installed for each of the lands coming to Epic Universe in 2025. Each portal has a representative medallion at the top above concept art that gives us an idea of what the land will look like when guests approach the portal in Epic Universe.
Changes have since been made. On a recent visit to the Epic Universe Preview Center, we discovered that there are new additions outside some of the portals.
A large Frankenstein standee has been added next to the Dark Universe archway. He wears black pants and a black blazer. The blazer is open revealing his scarred torso. He grimaces with his hands to his side.
Frankenstein Manor will be the host to a new dark ride titled Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. Recently, the aerial photographer bioreconstruct snapped photos of the construction of the manor, Dark Universe, and the rest of Epic Universe.
And Frankenstein isn’t the only character now appearing in the Epic Universe Preview Center. Above, Toothless glares at guests in front of the How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk archway. The dragon will appear on the family coaster Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
Mario is now greeting guests outside of the Super Nintendo World archway. Mario will be available for meet and greets when the location opens next year. The new land will feature three new rides and plenty of other attractions.
Last, but certainly not least, a Niffler sits inside an open suitcase outside of the archway for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. The suitcase holding the Niffler sits on top of five other worn-out suitcases. Earlier this month, Universal shared a look inside the queue for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, the main attraction coming to the land next year.
