Hong Kong Disneyland Closes Outdoor Attractions Due to Typhoon Yagi

Hong Kong Disneyland posted a weather advisory on its website indicating outdoor attractions are currently closed due to Typhoon Yagi.

Hong Kong Disneyland Suspends Outdoor Operations

The advisory reads:

Strong Wind Signal No. 3 has been issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The Park remains open with outdoor attractions suspended. For latest show times and attraction availability, please check our official mobile app or approach our cast members. Please see Weather Arrangement details.

The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 3 warning signal at 6:40 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The warning means winds are expected to reach speeds of 41km/h (25.5 mph) to 62km/h (38.5 mph).

The Typhoon Signal #3 arrangement reads as follows:

  • Park remains open, but outdoor attractions and entertainment are suspended due to poor weather conditions.
  • Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre remains open, but rental services of pedal boats and surrey bikes may be suspended due to poor weather conditions.

Yagi made landfall as a tropical storm in the Philippines on Monday.
