Alexa, play “Tears for Fears – Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”
Hello everybody! I hope you guys had a magical week. I started not great this morning, but when I pulled into the Magic Kingdom toll plaza, the cast member (sorry I didn’t catch his name…) brightened my day with a joke about my Club 33 MagicBand. Cast Members are magical and I really appreciate them every day.
Anyway, let the journey begin…
Today I went to the Magic Kingdom. When you arrive at the Transporation and Ticket Center, do you take a ferry boat or a monorail? I prefer to take a monorail because I want the air conditioning.
The Emporium was pretty packed, but there was nothing new. At the Confectionary, the candy apples have been outside of the showcase, but only in one variety. We have not seen any of the “fancy” candy apples in a while now.
I want to warn my friends that the pavement near Pirates of the Caribbean can be really slippery when it’s wet. So please be careful! (Yes, our unofficial intern fell down here.)
Headed to Critter Co-Op, how many of you have adopted a light-up firefly?
I did adopt him the day of the opening day, but I haven’t seen anybody wearing them in the parks after the first day. Mine is chilling at home.
I spotted Shaker just passing by Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
I know that a Florida Christmas isn’t quite the same as a traditional Christmas, but the park still makes me feel festive, even if it’s 90 degrees outside. I’ve tried heading up north (specifically to upstate New York) to experience some cold air during the holiday season, but every time I go, the temperature stays between 40 and 50 degrees. As soon as I leave, it drops below 30. It seems I must carry the sun with me! If you need warm weather in the winter, just let me know. I’ll bring some warm air from Florida with me.
At Mememto Mori, they have the gargoyle diffuser and waffle maker if you are looking for them! The diffuser is also available online here.
At “it’s a small world”, it seems they maybe forgot to finish painting the load area, as this section outside Pinocchio Village Haus remains in the gold and white motif introduced back in 2005. Of course, the rest was updated in 2021.
Let’s see what Minnie Mouse Ear headbands are available inside Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland.
Even though I felt like the park was busy today, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique had “Walk-Ups” available.
Since most people will rope drop TRON, I even considered doing that and then riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure after chatting with our unofficial intern yesterday. However, our boarding group was 9 and got called right away, so we didn’t make it to TRON. But I think that’s an ideal rope drop plan. I’ll definitely try it one day and share my thoughts and results.
I think it’s has been 332 days since Triton was removed from across from The Little Mermaid and he has still not returned.
Yes, we do care about these tiny things, because we are WDWNT.
Today’s animal break : Pooh.
I feel like Sonny Eclipse was forced to go on a vacation, so they can keep this Disney Jr. Jam DJ booth on the stage for the rest of the Halloween season.
Today was a pretty slow Saturday, so I didn’t see much new in the parks, but I do have a story to share from yesterday.
I always lose my car in the parking lot, but readers gave me a tip on how to find it. I did find my car at TTC, but my car did not turn on. Yes, it was 100 degrees outside and my car DID NOT turn on. My car is weird: I can’t open my trunk when the battery is dead, so I can’t take out my jumper cables, and not many guests are leaving Magic Kingdom at noon that I can ask for help jumping my car. I had to send off our unofficial intern to tram pickup/drop off to get help. 5-10 minutes later, a security cast member came and jumped my car! I of course remembered his name and sent a cast compliment. So, if you ever have car problems, please talk to Disney Security. They can help with battery issues, flat tires, and more if needed.
This is it from me this week! Will see you guys next week!
P.S. I went to Buc-ee’s after my Magic Kingdom loop. From the Transportation and Ticket Center to Buc-ee’s is about 1 hour and 15 minutes-ish, if you’ve ever wondered.
Have a magical week!!
