“Reach for the Stars,” a new nighttime projection show on Cinderella Castle, has debuted at Tokyo Disneyland.
‘Reach for the Stars’ at Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland announced the new show in January and revealed the name in June. In addition to castle projections, it features lights and pyrotechnics.
“Reach for the Stars” brings Disney “characters to life as they soar through the night sky in pursuit of their dreams.” Tokyo Disney Resort released this description:
Beyond the distant sky,
There was a sparkling castle above the clouds.
It’s a dream-like place where many stories dwell.
Now, let yourself be carried by the winds of freedom,
Spread the wings of imagination,
And let’s soar to the world of dreams!
Reach for the Stars!
Flying characters featured via projections include Tinker Bell, Hercules, Pegasus, Dumbo, Carl Frederickson and his house, Aladdin and Jasmine on Magic Carpet, WALL-E and Eve, Baymax and Hiro, and Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and more superheroes also appear, marking the first-ever appearance of Marvel characters in Tokyo Disney Resort entertainment.
There are also characters from “Mary Poppins,” “Inside Out,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and more.
The new nighttime spectacular is 20 minutes long and will be performed once or twice daily. Disney Premier Access is available for the show.

Could you please start titling articles with the park name or location, like you do with “Breaking:”…..or “Rumor:”….and even do “Daily Recap:” before the listing of article names from the day? It would help us readers. So, something like Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Magic Kingdom, etc., would be clear from the start. Thanks for considering.
The changes to Google’s algorithm insist on shorter titles to effectively show up in search results, we are doing what we can.
