A new dessert, the Snowy Mooncake, is joining the China Food & Wine Global Marketplace at EPCOT in celebration of the country’s Moon Festival.

Snowy Mooncake Coming to EPCOT

A snowy mooncake with floral patterns sits on a dark slate surface, accompanied by a garnish of green leaves and red sauce, reminiscent of the treats enjoyed during China's Moon Festival.

Announced via the Disney Eats official Instagram, this treat will be available at the China Global Marketplace in EPCOT from September 8-21 in celebration of the Moon Festival.

The Snowy Mooncake is a butterfly pea flower-infused snow skin mooncake filled with creamy custard. The sides feature small columns and the top has raised imagery of flowers.

Celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, the Moon Festival (also called the Mid-Autumn Festival or Mooncake Festival), is a harvest celebration in Chinese culture. This festival is meant to commemorate the end of the harvest season.
