The pavement in front of the Test Track entrance has been torn up, leaving a giant patch of dirt in its place.

The EPCOT attraction is closed for a major reimagining and the entrance area is being completely redone. The canopy was removed last month, making way for pavement work. The sidewalk has been torn up across the entrance area, where a new overhang will eventually be installed.

There is a digger parked in the dirt patch, next to a large hole in the ground. We saw crew members gathered nearby. As of our last update, some of the lettering above the entrance doors had been removed from the building.

The dirt patch continues to the edge of the building, stopping at the sidewalk that leads to the Test Track SIMporium gift shop. The store is also closed.

As we previously reported, the blue car-like decoration from the main sign is now gone. The “Test Track” letterings still sit in front of the sign. A completely new sign is pictured in the concept art, below.

Test Track is scheduled to reopen in 2025. This is the attraction’s second major update. The original version opened in 1998, replacing World of Motion. It was reimagined into Test Track 2.0 in 2012. 3.0 will draw inspiration from World of Motion and “celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.”
