Disney Channel released the first trailer and key art for “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” a sequel series to “Wizards of Waverly Place” executive produced by original stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie.
‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’
Gomez reprises her role as Alex Russo as a guest star in the first episode, while Henrie returns as Justin Russo as a main star for the whole season.
Here is the series synopsis:
“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.
The main cast also includes Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter, and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
Jake T. Austin, David DeLuise, and Maria Canals-Barrera are also set to guest star, reprising their roles as the rest of the “Wizards of Waverly Place” family.
“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” will premiere with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29, at 8 p.m. EDT on Disney Channel. The first nine episodes will be available on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand on Wednesday, October 30 — just in time for Halloween.
Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers. Gary Marsh and Jonas Agin also executive produce. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will direct multiple episodes.
