Adventureland Pavement Progresses Beyond Breezeway Restrooms at Magic Kingdom

Installation of the new themed Adventureland pavement continues, now extending beyond the breezeway restrooms that connect to Frontierland.

Adventureland Pavement Update

The photo above is from our last update, a little over one week ago. At that time, the new pavement was just in front of the breezeway.

The themed concrete now extends past the Adventureland breezeway, now heading toward Agrabah Bazaar.

There are cart tracks embedded in the pavement, as though one had driven into the breezeway. There are also animal tracks, pebbles, and cracks as we have seen in previous updates.

There have been more scoring, or cuts, into the concrete that isn’t themed yet, suggesting that work will continue with new sections to be added soon. The pavement will likely continue up until The Magic Carpets of Aladdin near the Spitting Camel.

On the Swiss Family Treehouse side of the walkway, we noticed a box where a light post once stood. It is likely that Disney temporarily removed the light pole to continue pavement work more easily in this section. We believe that the same light post or a new light will be added to this spot when they are finished.

We first discovered the new themed Adventureland pavement in late August. Since then, a significant amount of work has been done. To avoid closing the walkway or running into severe bottlenecks, Disney has elected to replace one-half of the walkway at a time.
