A new Buzz Lightyear meet and greet opportunity is available at Magic Kingdom.

Before joining the cast of “Agatha All Along,” Sasheer Zamata spent time at Walt Disney World as part of the Disney College Program. One of the experiences she remembers best was wearing the costume of one of Disney’s most popular characters.

“Well, I did have a panic attack in the Buzz Lightyear costume,” Zamata said with a smile. Zamata was chosen to wear the costume despite being smaller than the 5’7 to 5’9 height range that is advised for Buzz Lightyear performers.

In the video below, she describes the experience of not being able to touch her hands together, wearing the heavy chest pack and helmet, and signing autographs for children while sobbing.

In “Agatha All Along,” Zamata plays Jennifer Kale, the coven’s potion witch. She played a huge role in helping the witches out of a dire situation in episode 3 of the Disney+ show. Read our full review of that episode here.

Before joining the “Agatha All Along” cast, Zamata spent four years on “Saturday Night Live,” before appearing in shows such as “Woke” on Hulu and “The Last O.G.” on TBS.

The first two episodes of “Agatha All Along” premiered on Disney+ on September 18. To celebrate the new show, Agatha Harkness is donning a new outfit from the series during Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Park.
