Hurricane Milton is currently moving through the Gulf of Mexico near Mexico. Though the storm is northwest of the Cayman Islands, it’s still affecting conditions in the Caribbean. Disney Cruise Line ships dock at most ports but guests are ferried to and from the ship by tender boats at Grand Cayman. This transport is impossible with current conditions.

The Disney Fantasy was scheduled to visit Grand Cayman on Tuesday, October 8. Instead, the ship is enjoying an extra day at sea. Its next scheduled stop is to the southeast of Grand Cayman at Falmouth, Jamaica on Wednesday, October 9. The Fantasy then has another day at sea scheduled before a Castaway Cay stop on October 11. It returns to Port Canaveral on Saturday, October 12.

The Disney Magic also saw an itinerary change due to Hurricane Milton and the October 11 sailing of the Disney Wish from Port Canaveral was canceled.

Walt Disney World announced theme park closures for Wednesday and Thursday.
