Walt Disney World has released an official statement regarding Hurricane Milton.
Hurricane Milton Official Statement
Here is the public statement from Walt Disney World regarding Hurricane Milton.
Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions. We are closely monitoring the path of the projected storm as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members.
Earlier today, Walt Disney World blocked all theme park reservations for Wednesday, October 9, the day Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall. This news came one day after Walt Disney World paused all hotel reservations to prepare for the storm.
Orange County, which is home to Walt Disney World, is under a State of Emergency. Milton is still a tropical storm but is expected to intensify as it moves through the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida.
We will provide more updates as the story progresses.
