Disneyland guests were caught on camera arguing with the Evil Queen meet-and-greet character, leading Snow White to intervene in the Queen’s defense.
Guests Think Evil Queen Is Too Mean

In a TikTok video shared by user @serenamoran, the Evil Queen and Snow White interact with guests in Fantasyland near Sleeping Beauty Castle. A couple with kids is seen yelling at the Evil Queen while Snow takes a photo with another guest.
The angry guests insult the Queen’s makeup, and she says they could use some better hair and makeup themselves. One guest says, “You’re not an Evil Queen, you’re just ugly!” When the Evil Queen asks if they’re calling her ugly, one guest says she has “an ugly attitude!” The other member of the couple complains that she was asking the Queen for a picture when the character “ran me over with my kids.”
As the argument goes on, Snow White turns around and says, “You’re very grumpy!” She and the Evil Queen ultimately walk away from the guests, holding hands.

Though the details of the incident that led to the argument are unclear, Disney requires character performers to stay in character. This means the Evil Queen is supposed to act not-so-nice. Many guests in the comments shared their favorite experiences with the Evil Queen being mean to them, including telling them to get out of her way and calling them “peasants.”
Many in the comments also wondered about character attendants. While characters are not usually found wandering on their own at Walt Disney World, it’s a frequent occurrence at Disneyland. Snow White and the Evil Queen did not appear to have a character attendant during this incident.

Snow White said “someone looks grumpy” as we were walking up the train station steps at the front of the Magic Kingdom. I was star struck and my husband was flabbergasted that he got kinda dissed by Snow White. It was the best part of our trip next to getting engaged. Definitely a core memory.
People need to realize that she is in costume and she has to keep a certain persona… Standing there, arguing with her is ridiculous and it looks bad to the other guests. It made them look like fools!
These types of guests ruin the experience for everyone in the vicinity. They should have been escorted out by Security and banned for the day.
