Universal Orlando Resort is adding a whole new theme park to its lineup and they’ve finally announced when the Epic Universe opening date.
When Will Epic Universe Open?
Epic Universe will open on May 22, 2025. Select multi-day tickets and packages will go on sale on October 22, 2024. Bookings for Universal Helios Grand Hotel will also be made available.
The announcement was shared on the morning of October 17, 2024 via the Universal Orlando Resort official social media accounts.

The new park joins Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay as part of Universal Orlando Resort. It will bring three new hotels to the mix — one of which is inside the park itself.
All About Epic Universe
Epic Universe is a theme park with four lands set around a central hub called Celestial Park. From there, guests can enter each land through “portals,” taking them into areas featuring different Intellectual Properties (IPs). The four lands are The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.

Celestial Park
Celestial Park is the only area not themed to an IP. Rather, it’s an original creation inspired by the cosmos. Guests enter Celestial Park (and Epic Universe in general) through the front gates where the towering Chronos stands.
