There have been ”Wicked” green changes to the exterior of what used to be the Hello Kitty store in Universal Studios Florida.
Hello Kitty Store
Recently Universal has announced new offerings inspired by the film adaptation of “Wicked” are coming to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. At Universal Orlando Resort we are already seeing changes that point to something wicked.
“Wicked” Green Moving In
The Hello Kitty store has had its blue awnings removed from the windows and front door. All that remains is the statue of Hello Kitty in the front, the small red bows on the two light fixtures outside and the Hello Kitty head above the door.
The Trim at the top and bottom right of the entrance has already started to be painted a bright green.
The green paint is on the right side of the building, already the accent points are painted bright green. Our reporter compared the green to the Hulk green. You can still see remnants of the pale blue on the bottom left side of the building.
So far there are no major changes at the Universal UNI VRS entrance. Based on the concept art that Universal released, this will feature “Wicked” publicity shots of the two main actresses. Each actress will have her own side replacing Jaws and Felix and the entire collage at the top.
On the opposite side entrance, some green paint has been added to the trim on the roof and it appears down the side of the building. It would appear that Universal is focused on areas that don’t have as much guest contact as others to start.
The sign has been removed from this entrance as well as the awning in preparation for painting.
For now, Hello Kitty stands proud in front of her concrete signature just outside the shop. Her merchandise is currently in Toon Extra in Toon Lagoon in Islands of Adventure.
