Tropical Depression 14 has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to become Hurricane Milton before hitting the west coast of Florida this week.
Hurricane Milton
Another storm is brewing, this time in the Gulf of Mexico. Tropical Depression 14, which is expected to become Hurricane Milton as early as Saturday night, is on a trajectory that would lead it straight into the west coast of Florida.
Meteorologists are projecting that the west coast of Florida could start seeing rain as early as Sunday, but the Hurricane is unlikely to make landfall until Wednesday.
Just over a week ago, on Thursday, September 26, Walt Disney World canceled all of its nighttime spectaculars and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and closed Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon due to Hurricane Helene. Halloween Horror Nights 33 was also canceled on September 26 at Universal Studios Florida due to the hurricane.
At this time, no park hours have been affected. We will continue to provide updates as the story develops.
