Months after releasing at Disneyland Resort, the Mickey’s Toontown bubble maker has arrived at Walt Disney World. We found it at the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Kiosk in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Mickey’s Toontown Bubble Maker – $39.99
The bubble maker is designed to look like a barrel with colorful cranks and gadgets coming out of the top. The barrel is red with two white oval buttons to look like Mickey’s shorts. One of the interactive cranks appears as Mickey’s gloved hand.
In all, there are 13 different cranks and buttons that guests can interact with. While the different gadgets trigger lights, sounds, and movements, the photo above shows the orange button that needs to be pressed to make bubbles. It’s located above the yellow handle. A sticker of a gloved Mickey hand points to it.
Chip ‘n Dale are pictured on the side of the barrel opposite the white ovals. In between their smiling faces is a yellow Mickey head.
The blue, white, orange, green, and yellow piping at the top of the barrel features numerous hidden Mickey’s. The bubble maker also comes with a solid red adjustable strap.
The front of the barrel features an orange Mickey head button.
The bubble maker also lights up. We didn’t snag any pictures today, but you can see what it looks like when illuminated at Disneyland above. It is battery-operated, and batteries can be inserted at the bottom of the barrel. The bottom is also where guests will install replacement soap for the bubbles.
When this item first came to Disneyland Park, it sold out fast, though Disney did keep restocking it. In the coming days, we will see if it’s as popular at Walt Disney World.
