On a recent visit to World of Disney at Disney Springs, we discovered new Space Mountain “DASA” and Dapper Dan mugs.
Space Mountain DASA Mug – $19.99
The new mug is completely gray with a silver plaque on one side. The plaque shows the facade of Space Mountain with a rocket circling above its spires.
The mug also features a fun acronym. DASA, or Disney Aeronautics and Space Administration, stretches beneath the attraction. Beneath the words are the numbers 75 and 77. These numbers represent the years that Space Mountain opened at each park. It opened at Magic Kingdom on January 15, 1975 and Disneyland Park on May 27, 1977.
“Walt Disney World,” “Disneyland,” and Space Mountain” stretch across the top half of the circular plaque. “Inaugural Flight Commander” takes up the bottom half.
The interior of the mug is the same color as the exterior.
Dapper Dan Mug – $27.99
The Dapper Dan mug depicts the blue outfit worn by one of the four Dapper Dans at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park. The mug has a blue and white pinstripe pattern, a “Dan” nametag, a blue bowtie, and a blue handle.
The mug also comes with a lid. It completes the outfit, as it depicts a straw hat with a blue bow on the front.
The pinstripe pattern stretches all the way around the entire mug. There is no additional design on the back.
The Dapper Dans are a live quartet that performs on Main Street, U.S.A. at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. They have been a staple at each park since 1971 and 1959, respectively. In September 2024, a viral TikTok video showed Wayne Brady joining the Dapper Dans at Magic Kingdom
