Disney is developing a new “Prince Charming” movie with “Wonka” director Paul King attached.

Plot details remain under wraps but, according to Deadline, the film will not be specifically linked to “Cinderella.” The 1950 Disney animated classic features Disney’s most famous Prince Charming and the only one to officially go by that name, but the royal love interests of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and other fairytales-turned-films are also associated with the title.

It’s not clear if the film will be live-action or animated. Disney previously adapted “Cinderella” into a live-action film starring Richard Madden as Prince Kit to Lily James’ Ella. A live-action “Snow White” will be released next year with Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, a new version of the prince character.

Paul King will co-write the script with Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker. In addition to “Wonka,” King is known for directing the “Paddington” films and “The Mighty Boosh.” Farnaby appeared in both “Wonka” and “Paddington 2,” and is a co-creator of BBC’s “Ghosts.” Croker co-wrote “Paddington 2” and “Wonka” with King.

King and Farnaby are repped by Independent Talent Group. King is also repped by WME and Farnaby by UTA. Croker is repped by CAA, Grandview, and Jackoway Austen.
