Pumpkin Chai Cupcake Brings Fall Flavors to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The new Pumpkin Chai Cupcake has arrived for the fall season at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we were there to give it a try.

The Pumpkin Chai Cupcake is available for purchase from Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand U.S.A., as well as Pizzafari. Disney has not shared how long the cupcake will be available.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has come through once again with another solid cupcake offering. Full disclosure: our reporter was not excited to review this, as they do not normally enjoy pumpkin or chai flavors, but went in with an open mind and came out surprised and delighted.

The cake itself is super moist, with just a tiny hint of pumpkin flavor. It’s more of a carrot cake in taste. The apple pie filling was a nice surprise to give it some texture. There’s enough of the filling to get a little in every bite, and it pairs well with the cake.

The buttercream icing makes for a fun pumpkin design and is not overly sweet at all — we think it’s perfect. There’s just enough mocha to give it a touch of coffee flavor, and the chai is there just enough to mix everything together well.

It’s a really nice nod to fall, and the fall-themed sprinkles around the edge of the cupcake are a nice touch. The serving size is absolutely massive for the price, making it perfect to share.

Overall, we think this is definitely worth a try, even if you’re not a fan of pumpkin or chai. Be sure to grab a knife and fork and plenty of napkins, because this is a messy — but worth it — treat.
