We’ve learned more about changes to the Spider-Man Stuntronic show at Disney California Adventure, which is rumored to end soon but will have additional performances in November.

Spider-Man Actors Cut From Stuntronic Show

According to our sources, the stunt performers of the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) union are being cut from the show, which is officially titled “The Amazing Spider-Man!” It will continue with just the Stuntronic, a stunt-performing robot made to look like the Marvel Super Hero. There will be no more rooftop stunts performed by a live actor, although a live actor will reportedly still climb down the building’s wall for the meet and greets following each show.

When we first reported on the rumor, several sources had told us Disney already informed performers of the show’s November ending. Disney later announced they would add performances to the schedule starting in November. Our sources say performers don’t know if they will still be cut in November or if they will stay on the show through the holidays.

Removing live performers from the show is reportedly due to budget cuts in anticipation of Disneyland Forward spending.

“Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts” in Avengers Campus closed earlier this year. Performances of “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje” and other Disney California Adventure entertainment offerings were reduced.
