Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is now decorated for the holiday season, including a Christmas tree and its annual Christmas village. Last year, Yachb Club had its first-ever gingerbread lighthouse, but the resort did not get a gingerbread creation this year.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Christmas Decorations
The first signs of Christmas are garlands hanging from the porte-cochère at the entrance to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. These garlands feature blue and white bows with gold stars, gold flowers, and nautical ornaments like globes and starfish.
In the center of the lobby, a Christmas tree touches the ceiling. The Christmas village is to the left when entering from the parking lot. The lobby is also adorned with wreaths and garlands.
The tree is decorated with miniature sailboats and other types of boats. It also has white lights, seashells, and shiny baubles. There is no tree topper because it’s secured to the ceiling.
Garlands hang from the second-floor railings overlooking the lobby.
These are also decorated with miniature boats. The ornaments are blue, red, white, and silver. There are shiny green-gold leaves.
Decorations on the columns feature large blue velvet ribbons with silver trim. A pair of small trees are on either side of the main entrance doors. These also feature large blue and silver ribbons and boats.
Garland is on the railing above the staircase leading to the second story. A wreath hangs over the blue wall of the landing.
A sailboat figure sits in the center of the wreath, below a curled ribbon. The ornaments include various lighthouses, similar to the lighthouse outside Disney’s Yacht Club.
Garlands hanging in the hallway feature fish made of sea glass.
Yacht Club Christmas Village
The Christmas village is behind a white fence and poinsettia plants. Red velvet ribbons adorn the fence. A train through the miniature village runs periodically.
The set is on a snowy white platform. There are tiers of hills and mountains. There are tiny pine trees and lampposts around the edges of the display. The side facing the check-in desks features more traditional Christmas village buildings and figures.
The train cars are red with images of Santa Claus and toys on the sides. The engine is black.
A stone bridge crosses from the main mountain tier to a side hill featuring a lighthouse.
Throughout the display are billboards for real venues at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club.
The buildings are illuminated from the inside. They include Santa’s Visiting Center, a cards and gifts shop, and a toy shop.
The Yacht Club has its own skyway, with two cars hanging over a valley between two lodges. The train passes underneath the skyway cars.
The other side of the display, facing the windows, has more Disney-inspired elements. There’s Mickey’s Gumball Emporium, a building resembling a gumball machine with Mickey ears on top.
There are tiny figures of different Disney characters, including Pluto wearing a scarf. A little boy wearing Mickey ears takes a picture of a polar bear cub.
The village has its own Earful Tower. There’s an alcove with a figure of Santa and children.
Minnie has her own bakery. Some of the pavement in the village resembles colorful gumdrops.
Other buildings include Mickey’s Playhouse, Mickey Mouse Watch Factory, and Mickey’s Ear Factory. There are figures of Mickey and benches with Mickey icons.
A small reindeer figure is Clarice from the claymation “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” film.
Tow Mater from the “Cars” films wears reindeer antlers on his head.
A section dedicated to Arendelle features Elsa’s Ice Palace, and figures of Olaf, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, and Anna.
