The final spot of the newly themed Adventureland pavement has been added in Magic Kingdom, with only a few cuts in the concrete remaining.
Adventureland Pavement
Over the past few months, we have shared several updates regarding the state of the Adventureland pavement. Disney continued beyond this section and completed other sections deeper in the land before returning to finish this space.
Four stanchions were protecting the newly themed concrete during our recent visit to Magic Kingdom. Just like the other sections of the updated walkway, there are animal tracks and intentional cracks throughout the new space. The same mossy green texturing added to other sections of the walkway have also been added here, near the landscaping.
Here is a closer look at the green moss texture added to the perimeter of the walkway, which gives the illusion of a wet, lived-in environment. In the photo on the right, you can also see the various animal tracks that have been added, like dog paw prints, hoof prints, and bird tracks.
A few days later, the stanchions were removed, allowing guests to use the walking path freely. The box in the back still remains until the light post is repaired. It is unclear if the light post was removed for this pavement update or if there was an issue with that light post specifically.
It does appear that more work will be done on the pavement in the land, as there are still some plain sections of concrete remaining with a few cuts.
These are the same cuts that we saw to the concrete before it was changed into the themed Adventureland walkway.
