All the Christmas Food and Drinks You Can Have at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (With Reviews)

The holidays are here at Walt Disney World, and we visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios to try all the Christmas food and drinks for the 2024 season.

All items are available from November 8, 2024 through January 4, 2025.

ABC Commissary

At night, the ABC Commissary building glows warmly, surrounded by swaying palm trees as people gather outside.

ABC Commissary is appropriately located on Commissary Lane near the Chinese Theater and next door to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.

Sign advertising a Linzer Cookie Mousse Torte, a delightful piece of Christmas food art with layers of hazelnut cake, mousse, raspberry jam, and a snow-dusted cookie—just $6.29. Perfect for the sweet-toothed visitors at Hollywood Studios this festive season!

Food:

  • 🆕 Linzer Cookie Mousse Torte – $6.29

Layers of hazelnut cake, raspberry-blackcurrant mousse, raspberry jam, and sweet snow-dusted Linzer cookie

A hand holds a square Christmas dessert with a star-shaped cutout, dusted with powdered sugar, on a golden plate. This festive treat looks like something straight out of Hollywood Studios' magical menu.

This is kept in the fridge behind the counter, so the mousse and the jelly are ice cold. We don’t know if this is intentional, but that up against the dry cookie makes for a mostly flavorless item other than the extreme tartness of its softer elements.

Backlot Express

Backlot Express is located in Echo Lake, between Star Tours and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

Sign with a gingerbread cheesecake dessert description and price, set amidst a display of holiday-themed decor reminiscent of the festive charm you’d find at Hollywood Studios. Indulge in a slice of this quintessential Christmas food treat.

Food:

  • 🆕 Gingerbread Cheesecake – $5.99

*NEW* Gingerbread Cheesecake – $5.99

Gingerbread cheesecake on a vanilla cookie topped with milk chocolate ganache, dulce de leche whipped cream, gingerbread chocolate décor, gold crispy pearls, and holiday sprinkles

A hand holds a festive cake topped with chocolate, a gingerbread man cookie, and whipped cream, perfectly placed on a golden tray—a delightful piece of Christmas food magic that seems perfect for a Hollywood Studios backdrop.

With this treat, you get all the spices of gingerbread, the wonderful taste of caramel and dulce de leche, and the rich sweetness of the cheesecake. It is as beautiful as it is delicious, but it might be too rich for one person to eat alone.

Dockside Diner

People stand near a themed diner styled like a ship, with a sign reading "The Dockside Diner." The sky is partly cloudy, and some people are ordering food while others walk by.

Dockside Diner is in Echo Lake, across the lake from Gertie the Dinosaur on the side facing Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Menu signage at Hollywood Studios featuring a Candy Cane Sugar Cookie for $4.79 and a Red Velvet Holiday Milkshake for $9.79, adorned with festive Christmas food graphics.

  • 🆕 Candy Cane Sugar Cookie – $4.79

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Red Velvet Holiday Milk Shake – $9.79

*NEW* Red Velvet Holiday Milk Shake – $9.79

Red Velvet Milk Shake swirled with Chocolate Sauce topped with Whipped Cream, Rainbow Sprinkles, and a Holiday Tree Sugar Cookie

A chocolate milkshake with whipped cream, adorned with a decorated Christmas tree cookie and sprinkles, served in a clear cup with a green and white straw—a festive treat perfect for enjoying at Hollywood Studios during the holiday season.

To call this a milkshake would be disingenuous, at least the way we were served it. It’s basically a very dense red velvet soft-serve. The red velvet flavor is not overpowering, and does, in fact, taste like vanilla soft-serve with a light red velvet flavoring.

It’s very good, but don’t expect to drink it like a milkshake. Even up to 10 minutes after ordering, it was still too thick to sip through the straw. We had to eat it with a spoon.

*NEW* Candy Cane Sugar Cookie – $4.79

Festive Sugar-coated Sugar Cookie with Candy Cane Buttercream and Crushed Candy Cane Pieces

A hand holds a colorful plate with a red sugar cookie topped with pink icing, red sprinkles, white sprinkles, and a white snowflake candy—reminiscent of festive treats at Hollywood Studios during the Christmas season.

This cookie is a peppermint lover’s dream. Even before we got to the buttercream, we could already taste a hint of peppermint. The buttercream itself packs a minty wallop, but not one that fully masks the pleasant flavors of the soft and crumbly cookie. It’s pretty sizable and it seems like it could be shared between two people comfortably.

Rosie’s All-American Cafe

Rosie’s All-American Cafe is part of Sunset Ranch Market on Sunset Boulevard, across the street from Beauty and the Beast—Live on Stage.

Food:

  • 🆕 Coquito Wreath Cupcake – $5.99

*NEW* Coquito Wreath Cupcake – $5.99

Coquito custard-filled vanilla cupcake topped with coquito buttercream, chocolate bow, gold crispy pearls, and rainbow sprinkles

A festive cupcake with green frosting shaped like a wreath, topped with a red bow and colorful sprinkles, sits delightfully on a square tray—a perfect addition to your Christmas food spread that would shine even in Hollywood studios.

We love coquito, so this was a little bit of a disappointment. This is another dessert that would benefit from not being kept in a refrigerator all day, but we don’t know what else can be done at a high-volume counter-service restaurant.

A partially eaten cupcake with festive green and red icing, reminiscent of Christmas food, garnished with decorative sprinkles, sits on a white plate next to a fork on a wooden table.

The coquito buttercream is exactly what it is. It’s milky and full of cinnamon, so it tastes just like coquito. The cake tastes like it would be moist, but sadly, the fridge storage sucks all the flavor out of it. It has a beautiful presentation that is only hindered by being stored cold all day long.

The Trolley Car Cafe is on Hollywood Boulevard near Legends of Hollywood and across from Keystone Clothiers.

Food:

  • 🆕 Winter Spice Mini Whoopie Pie – $5.29
  • Mickey-shaped Gingerbread Cookie – $6.29

*NEW* Winter Spice Mini Whoopie Pie – $5.29

Spice cake filled with orange buttercream and cranberry-raspberry jam topped with a candied orange peel, cranberry, holiday sprinkles, sweet snow, and a plant-based chocolate tree

A small cake topped with a green tree-shaped decoration and dusted with powdered sugar is held on a fluted silver plate, capturing the festive delight of Christmas food as if it were straight from the whimsical sets of Hollywood Studios.

For a vegan option, Disney must be applauded for their creativity and uniqueness. This certainly beats some of the generic cupcakes you’ll find at other venues across property. We wish the jam was spread more evenly in the center, where the orange buttercream meets the cranberry-raspberry jam. The parts of this treat that are just cream have a citrus flavor that overpowers the entire dessert. The cake is also surprisingly moist for being plant-based.

Overall, it’s probably worth a try if it sounds interesting to you, but it could be easily made better by just spreading one of the layers throughout.

*NEW* Mickey-shaped Gingerbread Cookie – $6.29

A hand holds a gingerbread cookie shaped like a mouse head, adorned with festive white, green, and red icing—a delightful creation straight from the Christmas food stalls at Hollywood Studios.

This feels like a page out of the Disneyland playbook, and honestly, it is accomplished at the same level. It is a fresh, soft, and moist gingerbread cookie that is perfectly spiced with all its sweetness coming from the icing.

You could certainly go to the resorts that offer gingerbread items and find things just as good, but it’s nice to have this sort of expected item available to guests in the parks. We applaud when the pastry teams provide things that are unique and interesting. The Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookie feels like a treat that should become a Walt Disney World tradition in the parks and out.

Woody’s Lunch Box

People stand in line at a vibrant food kiosk adorned with oversized fast food items, like fries, drinks, and condiments, while Gertie cheerfully hands out meals under a sunny sky.

Woody’s Lunch Box is in Toy Story Land near the path to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Food:

  • Hot Cocoa Lunch Box Tart – $4.99

Hot Cocoa Lunch Box Tart – $4.99

Chocolate fudge filling, hot chocolate-marshmallow fondant, and mini marshmallows

A hand holds a Lunch Box Tart brimming with chocolate, marshmallows, and sprinkles in front of a colorful snack stand.

The Hot Cocoa tart is returning and we’re glad to see it back. It’s very good. The pastry was fresh and appropriately moist. The marshmallows add a nice flavor and texture.

A hand holding a bitten cookie pairs perfectly with the aroma of hot chocolate wafting through the crowded amusement park, where colorful decorations and lively chatter create a festive backdrop.

But the filling is the best part. It tastes just like hot cocoa without having to drink a warm beverage in Florida.

Various Outdoor Vending Locations

The brownie is available at various carts and kiosks throughout the park.

Food:

  • Holiday Mickey Brownie

Holiday Mickey Brownie

Chocolate brownie with holiday sprinkles

A hand holds a Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie with red, white, and green sprinkles in front of a decorated Christmas tree outdoors, surrounded by bowls of festive Christmas popcorn mix.

It’s a decent brownie, moist and chewy. The sprinkles add a crunch to the treat. It’s nothing special, but those looking for a simple chocolate snack will enjoy it.

Overall

Our favorites of the new items this year were the Gingerbread Cheesecake, the Candy Cane Sugar Cookie, and the Mickey-shaped Gingerbread Cookie. Of course, the Hot Cocoa Lunch Box Tart was a returning favorite from last year.

We’d skip the Linzer Cookie Mousse Torte, the Red Velvet Holiday Milk Shake, and the Coquito Wreath Cupcake. The Holiday Mickey Brownie was also another disappointment from last year.

Ultimately, there are a handful of Christmas food items we’d recommend, but it does come down to your tastes and what you would enjoy. Will you be trying any of this Christmas food while it’s available this holiday season? Let us know which ones in the comments and on social media.
