The standby queue for The Haunted Mansion (currently Haunted Mansion Holiday) at Disneyland will reopen today, November 26.
Haunted Mansion Queue Reopening
The Haunted Mansion closed in January 2024 for an expanded grounds refurbishment and construction of a new retail shop. Haunted Mansion Holiday, the seasonal “Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay, returned in July but used a virtual queue due to construction.
The Disneyland app states Haunted Mansion Holiday will use a standby queue, as well as Lightning Lane, beginning on November 26 and a virtual queue will no longer be offered.
In addition to offering more queue space, the expanded grounds will build on the attraction’s story and lore, including a local legend suggesting the manor was built by a sea captain. It also includes new gardens inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat. These gardens include a fountain, gazebo, themed statuary, and items related to each character. There is a new greenhouse where the groundskeepers grow plants. The pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will remain.
The retail shop, run by Madame Leota, is an old carriage house.
