REVIEW: Holiday Mimosa, Horchata Cotton Candy, & Mickey Gingerbread From Disney California Adventure

Shannen Ace

Outdoor vending carts in Disney California Adventure have a few holiday items available, including a mimosa, horchata cotton candy, and a classic Mickey gingerbread cookie.

Outdoor vending locations also offer a honey-baked turkey leg with a pineapple ring and other alcoholic beverages for the season.

*NEW* Holiday Mimosa – $20.50

Cherry, vanilla and cinnamon syrups topped with sparkling wine, served in a souvenir glass

The mimosa comes in a cute souvenir flute — but that’s the only reason it even got a 2 from us. It’s a terrible drink. It tastes low quality. In this park, there are plenty of better alcohol options.

*NEW* Horchata Cotton Candy – $6.50

A hand holds a clear bag with snowflake designs containing a toy. In the background, there's a Ferris wheel with a Mickey Mouse face, people, and festive decorations at sunset.

This sounded amazing and thankfully lived up to the name. There’s a hint of horchata flavor that lingers in your mouth without being overpowering. Kids probably aren’t going to like it but adults will.

The cotton candy is unlabeled, it just comes in a holiday bag, so the average guest won’t know that it’s horchata. Make sure to ask the Cast Members at the outdoor vending cart.

Mickey Gingerbread Cookie – $7.49

A hand holds a Mickey Mouse-shaped chocolate cookie with star and sprinkle decorations, resting on a gold square base.

This gingerbread has a more artificial taste than Harbour Galley gingerbread cookies. It’s nowhere near our favorite gingerbread cookie option at Disneyland Resort but it’s still good enough.
