Guests driving on the streets of Anaheim this weekend got treated to their own version of the Paint the Night Parade as the floats returned to Disneyland Resort.
Paint the Night Floats Arrive at Disneyland Resort
TikTok user @kikelyn shared the following video featuring some of the floats driving back onto Disneyland property, edited together with clips of the full parade.
The floats visible in this video are the lead “Peter Pan” drum, Mack from “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” the “Beauty and the Beast” section of the Candlelight Dreams unit, Slinky Dog, and Mickey’s Lightastic Finale.
Instagram user @CompaAtDisney also shared a video of the Slinky Dog float.
We previously shared rumors of Paint the Night’s return before Disneyland Resort officially announced it with a teaser video. Paint the Night debuted at Disneyland for the park’s 60th anniversary in 2015. Its initial run ended in September 2016 but it returned for the holidays and ran into January 2017, when it was replaced by the Main Street Electrical Parade.
Paint the Night returned in 2018, this time at Disney California Adventure. To celebrate the opening of Pixar Pier, a new “The Incredibles” float replaced “Frozen.” It ran until November 2018.
Disney has not announced when or where Paint the Night will return but 2025 is the 10th anniversary of the parade and the 70th anniversary of Disneyland.
The first version of Paint the Night debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2014. It ran until 2020.
