More holiday décor is up in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the celebratory season officially gets started at Walt Disney World. We previously shared a first look at Merry Menagerie and Diwali decorations.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Holiday Decorations
There are garlands throughout the park’s Africa area. The garland is made of twine and nets, with natural ornamentations and large string lights.
The garland on the pin kiosk features colorful baubles and ribbons. Branches hang down among the ribbons.
The awning of Tamu Tamu Refreshments features a string with carved baubles, flowers, and ribbons.
While most of these garlands are brown, the decorations lining the outdoor bar area of Tusker House are more green.
Wreaths made of found objects are on the lampposts lining the nearby bridge. This one is a wheel with a fishing net and bottle caps across it.
More traditional Christmas garland lines the roof of Creature Comforts. Green wreaths over the windows feature paper chains and brown ribbons.
Pandora – The World of Avatar Christmas Decorations
Pandora – The World of Avatar also famously decorates with found objects and natural materials. Garlands and star-shaped ornaments made of Pandora plants line this merchandise kiosk.
The AMP suit outside Windtraders has donned a Santa hat and white beard made of rope. String lights are draped over its shoulders.
Strings of seasonal decorations crisscross the space around the AMP suit.
These include wooden figures of banshees and other Pandora creatures. There are wreaths wrapped with red ribbons.
ACE employees have made Christmas lights out of work lights. Ornaments include a Pandora Conservation Initiative sign. There’s a retro Santa figure.
Also, check out the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Christmas tree, located outside the park entrance gates. Holiday offerings at the park include Merry Menagerie, a free-roaming puppet show on Discovery Island. Guests can meet Santa Claus in DinoLand U.S.A.
