The New Year’s Eve PhotoPass lens puts a “Happy New Year” Mickey ear hat and sunglasses on you. A countdown appears in the glasses, followed by sparklers and fireworks around you. See a video of the lens via Disney PhotoPass below.

Guests can access the New Year’s Eve PhotoPass Lens through the Disneyland or My Disney Experience apps. It’s available through January 2, 2025.

Walt Disney World began their New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations one night early on December 30, with not only the annual “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks, but appearances from Mickey & friends at the New Year’s Eve dance parties in Magic Kingdom.

At Disneyland Park, guests can enjoy a New Year’s Eve Countdown Celebration at “it’s a small world” starting at 7 p.m. and running until 1 a.m. Disney California Adventure will offer three countdown celebrations: one at the World of Color viewing area, one in Cars Land, and another in Hollywood Land; all three run from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
