New Classic Mini Storybook Journals arrive at Magic Kingdom Park

Three new mini-sized journals inspired by the storybooks from classic Disney animated films have arrived at Walt Disney World. These new journals feature the same designs as their full-sized journal counterparts that appeared back in 2020.

Snow White Mini Storybook Journal – $34.99

A hand holds a decorative Classic Mini Storybook Journal with the title "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" embossed in gold and blue on the cover, reminiscent of enchanting tales from Magic Kingdom Park.

Based on the classic animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” this mini storybook journal is designed exactly like the storybook that appears at the beginning of the film. The front cover has “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in blue with gold highlights. The seven dwarfs are embossed near the bottom, and gold details of woodland creatures fill the sides.

Person holding a decorative white book with a gold crown emblem and gold details, reminiscent of the Classic Mini Storybook Journals, price tag visible.

The back cover is plain white with a small golden crown in the center.

The pages of the journal have shiny golden sprayed edges. The spine of the journal has an elegant gold filigree.

On the first page of the journal, the text explains how several classic Disney films used storybooks in their opening scenes. The text is explained in English and then copied in French. The second page of the book features gothic-style text that exactly copies the opening page from the film.

The subsequent pages of the journal are left blank with lines for writing. A small image of Snow White is printed on the right corner of each right-hand page. On the final page of the journal, the ending line “…and they lived happily ever after” from the film is printed in the same gothic text. We found the Snow White mini storybook journal at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.

Cinderella Mini Storybook Journal – $34.99

A person holds a decorative Cinderella-themed book with a gold cover featuring birds and embellishments, reminiscent of the Classic Mini Storybook Journals.

Similar in style to the Snow White journal is this “Cinderella” mini storybook journal. Like its larger counterpart, the Cinderella journal also copies the storybook from the animated film. The journal’s cover is golden-yellow with “Cinderella” in azure blue. Two of Cinderella’s bird friends hold up the corners of the text, and the glass slipper is placed in the center. Jaq and Gus are also outlined in the bottom two corners. The back of the journal is plain.

The Cinderella journal also has golden sprayed edges, with the addition of a small bejeweled clasp holding the journal closed. The spine of the book is mostly yellow with some small gold detailing.

The first page of the journal also features text describing the practice of classic Disney films beginning with storybook openings. The second page has a double-page illustration of Cinderella’s house and castle along with the film’s opening text.

As with the Snow White journal, each interior page has lines for writing and a small image of Cinderella on the bottom right corner of each right-hand page. The final page has an illustration of Cinderella and Prince Charming from their wedding, as seen in the film’s final scene. We found the Cinderella mini storybook journal at Bonjour! Village Gifts in Magic Kingdom.

Beauty and the Beast Mini Storybook Journal – $34.99

A hand holds a stained-glass-style storybook depicting a couple dancing. The book features a decorative cover and is elegantly displayed on a stack of similar journals.

The Beauty and the Beast mini journal is a replica of the stained glass window seen in the film. It features Belle in her iconic yellow dress alongside the Beast in his prince form.

The first page of the journal depicts the “Beauty and the Beast” logo written in gold. Following that is a page of text giving a brief overview of the film and describing the use of stained glass in the opening and closing scenes. It is written in both English and French.

Engraved on the back cover is the Beauty and the Beast logo. The outer edges of the book pages have gold detailing.

The pages on the right-hand side of the book display the iconic red rose in the upper right corner. The bookmark also has a miniature stained glass emblem of the rose attached to a black ribbon. We found this journal at Once Upon a Time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
