A Dense Fog Advisory is now in effect for Walt Disney World, causing the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat to not be in operation.
Dense Fog Advisory at Walt Disney World
The advisory is currently in effect until 10 a.m. EST for Volusia, Northern Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Weather.com shares that visibility is one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, with low visibility potentially causing hazardous driving conditions.
Because of this low visibility, the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat is not operational this morning, leaving park guests to use the Monorail as their only transportation option.
It is likely the ferryboat will resume operation once the fog recedes, or after the advisory is lifted.
Even after making it into the park, the thick fog makes Cinderella Castle nearly invisible.
Guests planning to drive to the parks this morning during the Dense Fog Advisory should take precautions by slowing down, using their headlights, and leaving plenty of distance ahead of them on the road.
