Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion has unveiled an expanded outdoor queue with a new music score from Ego Plum.
The Haunted Mansion (currently Haunted Mansion Holiday) expanded outdoor queue opened on November 26. The Haunted Mansion closed in January 2024 for an expanded grounds refurbishment and the construction of a new retail shop.
With the queue’s reopening, new music by award-winning composer Ego Plum has debuted. Over 40 minutes of new music can be heard while waiting to ride the popular attraction.
Plum is an Emmy-nominated composer who is celebrated for his work on SpongeBob SquarePants and The Cuphead Show. He’s also a lifelong Disneyland fan and his recent contributions to the Haunted Mansion fulfill one of his creative dreams.
As per Plum’s Instagram post, his music “introduces fresh new themes and reimagined arrangements of Baker’s melodies, bringing new life to the queue area while preserving the original interior soundtrack. The enhancements celebrate the Haunted Mansion’s enduring legacy as a blend of humor, mystery, and innovation.”
Plum calls his opportunity to compose music for the attraction “the honor of a lifetime.”
