Disney is limiting New Year’s Eve Celebrations at Magic Kingdom hotels to resort guests only.
Disney’s Bay Lake Tower
Guests looking to ring in the new year at Bay Lake Tower must be Disney Vacation Club members who are specifically staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Members staying at other DVC resorts will not be granted access to the evening’s festivities.
The Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair and Terrace will be available on a first come first serve basis on December 30 and 31 from 6 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Wristband distribution will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the lobby of Bay Lake. Members and their entire party must be present at the time of check-in to the observation deck. Capacity will be limited to 300 guests.
The outside terrace bar will be available and no outside food or beverages will be allowed.
All details regarding the New Year’s Eve event can be found in the signage shared above.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Only guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, including the new Island Tower, may view fireworks from the resort. Guests will need to pick up a wristband in the lobby of the Great Ceremonial House.
There’s an A-frame sign marking the counter providing wristbands. There is no difference between the wristbands for regular guests, Disney Vacation Club guests, and Island Tower guests, but they are required.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, resort guests can exclusively view New Year’s Eve fireworks from the pool area. Wristbands are only distributed for the pool, not for any other areas of the resort. Once your party has been issued a band, you won’t be able to get another one, and Cast Members recommend having your whole party together when you pick up the wristband.
