Two new snack options have arrived at Universal Islands of Adventure: “croffles.” These unique treats are croissants baked with a waffle press and come in sweet and savory options.

The croffles can be found at Croissant Moon Bakery in Port of Entry.

Two plates of food on a wooden surface: one is a dessert waffle with ice cream and chocolate sauce from Croissant Moon Bakery, while the other is a savory croffle topped with pepperoni slices.

There are two options to choose from: the savory Pizza Croffle and the sweet Cookies and Cream Croffle. Each one is a single croissant pressed with a waffle iron to create the cratered waffle pattern, then topped with its respective fixings.

Pizza Croffle – $9.99

A hand holds a black plate with a croffle topped with cheese and pepperoni, set against red and green foliage in the background.

This croffle is topped with melted cheese and large pepperoni slices.

We found it to taste similar to a Hot Pocket, but more buttery and fluffy from the croissant base. Despite enjoying this item, the price is a bit too high for the portion size.

Cookies and Cream Croffle – $7.99

A hand holds a plate featuring a Croffle dessert topped with whipped cream, chocolate pieces, and syrup against a vibrant backdrop of red flowers and green leaves.

This option is topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and crushed Oreo cookies.

We found the combination of sweet toppings with the buttery croissant to match very well. It was not overly sweet and tasted great. Unfortunately, due to being kept refrigerated in the display window, it was very hard and difficult to cut with plastic cutlery. It would get a perfect score if it were a bit softer.
