The story of Daredevil will finally continue with the premiere of “Daredevil: Born Again” this March.
Daredevil: Born Again
After giving fans a first look at the series in an MCU sneak peek, Marvel released the first official trailer for “Daredevil: Born Again” on Wednesday.
The highly-anticipated series is Disney’s follow-up to Netflix’s “Daredevil,” which ran from 2015 to 2018. It stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil and D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.
Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Though “Daredevil” ended in 2018, Cox has reprised his role as the titular vigilante in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and “Echo.” D’Onofrio appeared as the villainous Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in “Hawkeye” and “Echo.”
In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, “Daredevil: Born Again” features the return of original cast members Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter. Joining the cast are Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Jeremy Earl.
The series went through a significant creative overhaul in 2023, after six out of 18 episodes had already been filmed. Filming was also suspended due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Early 2024 production photos caught Cox, Woll, and Henson reunited on set.
Dario Scardapane is the showrunner and an executive producer alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Christopher Ord, Matthew Corman, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead. Episode directors include Benson and Moorhead (“Moon Knight,” “Loki” season 2″), Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd.
“Daredevil: Born Again” premieres on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. Watch the trailer below.
