This ticketless entry system, “Effortless Entry,” is being implemented for a limited time at Passholder-exclusive entrances at Universal Islands of Adventure.

Passholders will first need to enroll in Photo Validation before entering the park. Once enrolled, they will no longer need to scan their physical pass.

To enroll, Passholders will scan their ticket at the park entrance and then “smile” as the system creates a Photo Template that’s used to verify their identity. After that, they’ll be able to enter the park as their “Action Packed Adventure Awaits!”

The metal welcome sign, featuring a fierce dinosaur image and the word "WELCOME," feels like stepping into Islands of Adventure. A person's hand is seen on the left, with trees and a stone path providing a lush background.

Photo Validation is not required and Passholders can let a Team Member know if they would like to opt out. The screens at the entrance that display “Welcome. Scan Ticket” are designated as a regular, non-ticketless entry. The ticketless scanners will say “Welcome. Smile!”

At the entrance control booth of Islands of Adventure, a person sits ready with scanning equipment as another stands nearby, eagerly anticipating the day's adventures.

The Effortless Entry using Photo Validation is also available when using the Universal Express Pass. After enrolling in Photo Validation, guests will be able to use the Effortless Entry at select attractions without scanning a physical Universal Express Pass.
