The new Disney Wonderful World of Sweets opens at Downtown Disney District today (January 22, 2025) at 3 p.m. PT. Before the official opening, Disney Eats shared a look inside the shop.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
Construction walls came down and we got to see the shop’s exterior earlier this month. The façade has golden frames around the windows, pink-gold gradient columns, Mickey-shaped treat sculptures, and metal ribbons. Inside, there’s a blue rug with gold designs and a pink border. Past that, we can see a mobile checkout counter and walls of sweets.
There are giant colorful lollipop swirls on the ceiling. Similar swirls make up some of the display stand supports. A colorful candy castle is above one wall.
Disney also shared a look at some of the shop’s treats and souvenirs. It looks like Disney Wonderful World of Sweets will have a unique treat character with a smiling face and Mickey ears. Cake pops and a souvenir bucket are shaped like this character (or characters).
The shop will also have caramel apples inspired by Mickey and Minnie, and caramel popcorn — in a Disney Wonderful World of Sweets-branded bag.
Disney previously said the shop’s treats will include churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, packaged confections, and freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. Disney Wonderful World of Sweets will have an exhibition kitchen viewable from inside the store and through the windows.
Stay tuned for our coverage of the shop.
