A revamped version of the Royal Ball debuted during the 2025 Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite. The Royal Ball was previously held on the street near “it’s a small world” but the new version is at the Fantasyland Theatre.
Sweethearts’ Nite Royal Ball

The ball is now hosted by the original characters Lord Artemis and Lady Antoinette instead of the Fairy Godmother and the Duke from “Cinderella.” The Lord and Lady open the show by singing part of the song “Beauty and the Beast,” a.k.a. “Tale As Old As Time.”
Lord Artemis and Lady Antoinette welcome a group of dancers — the citizens of the kingdom. Most of them are dressed in brand-new costumes. Some costumes are reused from last year’s Sweethearts’ Nite cavalcade.

They then introduce each of the royal couples, some of whom come dressed in different variations of their standard costumes. Aurora is in her former A Christmas Fantasy Parade pink dress. Prince Philip is in his suit from Magic Happens. Aladdin and Jasmine are in their standard meet and greet outfits.

Snow White and her Prince have joined the show, also wearing their costumes from A Christmas Fantasy Parade.

Ariel and Eric are in their standard meet and greet costumes. For Ariel, that means her special teal green dress.

Cinderella and Prince Charming are in their ball outfits from A Christmas Fantasy Parade.

Tiana and Prince Naveen are in their A Christmas Fantasy Parade costumes first introduced in 2023.

Last are Belle and the Beast, also in their A Christmas Fantasy Parade costumes. They remain on the upper part of the stage for the duration of the show.
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider don’t appear in this year’s version of the Royal Ball.
After all the couples are introduced, they dance together on stage.

The citizens of the kingdom then present a special dance for the royals.

Before the ball can then officially begin, the show is interrupted by Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters (also in their A Christmas Fantasy Parade costumes) from a balcony at the back of the theater. They’re looking for princes, of course. The hosts reluctantly admit that the entire kingdom was invited, so the trio can stay.
They then invite the royal couples to take their places on the dance floor.

All the couples except Belle and the Beast head down the stairs in front of the stage. This is a good opportunity for guests at the front of the crowd to snap photos.

The royals, citizens, and hosts teach guests a simple dance so they can join in on the ball. As they practice their steps, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella make their way down to the dance floor.

The ball then officially begins and the audience is encouraged to join in on the dance they just learned. The citizens then lead everyone in a waltz (set to an instrumental of “Once Upon a Dream” from “Sleeping Beauty”). Anastasia and Drizella take the opportunity to cut in and dance with Prince Charming.
Lord Artemis and Lady Antoinette finish the waltz by singing a few bars of “Once Upon a Dream.” Lady Tremaine and her daughters stay on the dance floor as the couples head back onto the stage and stairs.
They all strike a final pose as the ball comes to an end.
The Royal Ball is performed four times during the event, at 9 p.m., 10 p.m., 11 p.m., and midnight. After each of the first three shows, there is a meet and greet with two random royal couples. They do not meet after the fourth performance. The quick meet and greets are in front of Royal Ball backdrops at the Fantasyland Theatre. PhotoPass isn’t offered during these meet and greets.
