In the lobby of Universal Stella Nova Resort is Nova Bar, where guests can enjoy themed cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Nova Bar
Nova Bar is open from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
At least for now, there is a limit of one alcoholic drink per person, per order.
Nova Bar Menu
See our post of full menus for all bars, cafes, and restaurants at Universal Stella Nova Resort. We ordered two constellation cocktails and two spirit-free drinks.
Constellation Cocktails
Nebula – $16
Los Siete Misters Doba-Yej Mezcal shaken with strawberry-rose syrup and fresh lime juice topped with a mix of Fever-Tree Tonic and Fever-Tree Soda. Served over ice.
You can definitely taste the Mezcal in this drink, but the strawberry-rose syrup and lime juice help cut it. It’s smooth with great flavor. It’s balanced well and not overly sweet. You get a lingering taste of the rose on the backend. It’s really good.

Hoshi – $16
Nigori Sake rolled with Domaine de Canton Ginger, ube syrup and fresh lemon juice. Served up.
This is interesting. There’s a complexity to it. You get all of the flavors, including the sake, at different times. The sake is good, but we aren’t sure about the combination. This isn’t necessarily what we expect from a sake drink. It’s still good, though.

Spirit-Free Drinks
Electra – $12
Lyre’s Coffee Original shaken with espresso cold brew, cane syrup and vanilla. Served up.
This is great. You get chocolate notes from the mix. The flavor palate reminds us of Manhattan Special’s espresso coffee soda, just without the carbonation.
Coffee can be divisive but we liked this roast. It’s a little weak but has good flavor.

Matar – $12
Lyre’s White Cane Spirit shaken with orgeat, cane syrup, fresh lime, floated with Lyre’s Dark Cane Spirit. Served over ice.
This actually emulates the flavor of alcohol without the burn. We aren’t sure that’s what someone wants from a non-alcoholic drink, but it’s interesting. It tastes like a margarita. It’s weird but good and well-balanced.

Overall
We want to try more of the drinks before giving a real recommendation, but if you’re staying at Stella Nova Resort, we think Nova Bar is worth a try.
