Disney Announces Blizzard Beach 30th Anniversary Celebration

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park opened on April 1, 1995 — meaning its 30th anniversary is just over a month away. Disney announced the water park will celebrate with a party all throughout April.

On April 1, Disney will pay tribute to 30 years of Blizzard Beach with a live DJ on the deck near the Polar Pub. There will be several character meet and greets, including with Mickey and Minnie in their winter attire. Blizzard Beach will offer frozen-photo frames for the day. There will also be snowman bowling and character-themed tubes for floating down Cross Country Creek.

Through the rest of April, there will continue to be dance parties, special anniversary food and beverage items, merchandise, and more. Family-friendly games will have prizes like 30th anniversary snowflake temporary tattoos, wintery-themed rubber ducks, and snowy bubbles.

A water park offers a thrilling daily recap with its towering slide, resembling a snow-covered mountain under a clear blue sky, surrounded by lush trees and rocky landscaping.

Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests can enjoy free water park admission on their check-in day. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will reopen in May.
