The Studio Sweets candy shop at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida is currently closed for “enhancements.”
Studio Sweets Closed
Studio Sweets is attached to Universal Studios Store, on the corner closest to the entrance. The shop’s doors are now blocked by barriers. The façade has seen no changes yet, with striped awnings and signage still hanging on the walls.
There are two sets of doors, both blocked. The glass doors and windows are blacked out from the inside. Signs on the doors read, “Please pardon our dust. Set enhancements in progress.”
The candy shop is also blocked off inside the Universal Studios Store. There are temporary barriers around black scrims. Behind the scrims are clear tarps hanging from the ceiling.
Recently, On Location across the street closed and construction began on the building. While the On Location webpage is gone from the Universal Orlando Resort website, the Studio Sweets page remains up. It lists the store as “Open Today” even though it’s not. Rumors indicate that the candy shop is moving across the street to take over the former On Location.
