As the Fan Fest Nights events at Universal Studios Hollywood draw closer, the theme park has now sent out pre-arrival expectation surveys to guests who have already bought event tickets.
Fan Fest Nights Online Survey
Universal Fan Fest Nights is a new event at Universal Studios Hollywood taking place on select dates throughout April and May of 2025. Tickets for the event went on sale last week. Guests that have already purchased tickets have now been sent a new online survey regarding their expectations for the event.

Fan Fest Nights is set to include Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons, Back to the Future, One Piece, Harry Potter, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Super Mario. The survey, which is expected to take roughly ten minutes, questions guests regarding the Intellectual Properties that have been announced for the event and what expectations guests have regarding each franchise.

The survey begins by asking guests to label how much each featured IP included their decision to purchase a ticket. The drop-down options include “I bought my ticket specifically for this,” “I am interested in this, but it was not the main draw for me,” and “this had no influence on my decision.”

The following question asks guests to actually rank the different IPs by their level of excitement, with one being the most excited.

The next set of prompts asks more detailed questions about the various IPs. Our first page included short-answer questions about what sort of immersive experiences, entertainment, food, and merchandise we expected for Jujutsu Kaisen.

The next page is a series of options regarding what type of activities guests expect to be offered, regardless of IP. Some of the listed options include cosplay, live shows, a Fan Block Party, celebrity meet and greets, access to rides, themed rides, a video game tournament, and themed food.

A few additional options include a DJ dance party, walk-through experiences, a tabletop game tournament, and photo opportunities. Universal notes that not all of these events are guaranteed and the final schedule has not yet been set.

Following the list of potential activities, Universal has guests rank their likelihood of attending each event on a scale of “Very likely” to “Very unlikely.”

The next pages break down the events into groups by an associated IP, noting that “we are interested in your expectations, not your wishes.” Guests are expected to click the types of events they expect for each franchise.

The final survey question asks guests to compare their expectations of Fan Fest Nights to existing events like Anime conventions, Disneyland After Dark, Halloween Horror Nights, and Comic cons.
The release of this survey implies Universal is still testing exactly what types of activities should be included in Fan Fest Nights for the event to meet guest expectations. Universal has already revealed a list of experiences available during the event, which will include walking into the 1955 Hill Valley set from “Back to the Future.” However, this list only includes major walkthroughs and experiences, not smaller events like the contests, games, or parties listed in the survey.
