Following the replacement of several directory signs at Disney Springs, the digital screens have debuted interactive features and more advanced maps.
Disney Springs Interactive Directories

Several directories at Disney Springs were replaced in January of this year because the screens had faded and the displays were beginning to deteriorate. At the time, the digital directories functioned just like a regular directory, with a map at the top and a list of locations at the bottom. Now, Disney Springs has debuted an interactive version of the directories with many more features.
Two of the interactive directories can be found in front of the Sephora store near the Disney Resort bus stop and near the Lime Garage entrance. Like the older directories, the screens feature advertisements for nearby offerings when not in use, but turn into a map when the screen is touched.

The new directories have a different screen layout from the older versions. The screen begins with a map on the upper half and a search function on the lower half.

A banner near the top of the screen displays the day of the week, date, time, and current temperature.

The white section at the bottom has a search bar for seeking a specific location by name. There are also six touchable categories for shopping, dining, play, services, transportation, and restrooms. The blue divider bar also has an accessibility option.

On the map, a large black dot labels where the guest is currently standing. The map also has an easy reset button for returning the center to the user’s current location.

When a guest touches the full screen option, the white half of the display is removed so the map takes up the entire screen.

When a guest presses on one of the category names, the bottom half of the display provides a list of all applicable locations. For example, clicking on “Shop” bring up a list of all stores in Disney Springs. The stores are listed in alphabetical order starting from the top left corner, and the side arrows are used to scroll left or right. The stores have a label with their expected walking time based on where the display is located.

Guests can tap each individual store name to bring up more details. Each store page has its official logo, the estimated walking time, and a brief description of what the store sells. The same is true for the “Dine” and “Play” sections.
