The ongoing refurbishment of Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World is complete, with new Disney touches and “Grumpy’s Gauntlet.”
Magnolia Course Update
The golf course went through a significant renovation in 2022, reopening without its final four holes. They reopened in late 2023 but construction work continued through 2024.

Holes No. 14, 15, 16, and 17 of the 18-hole course have been redesigned and named “Grumpy’s Gauntlet.” They feature white sand bunkers, unblemished fairways, and tropical landscaping. But there’s a reason the holes are “Grumpy.” For example, the 15th hole is 597 yards from the back tee box.

Every hole on the course now has a Disney movie-inspired name and a quote, either by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer or Walt Disney. Hole No. 6 is “The Mouse Trap,” featuring Walt Disney’s famous quote, “I hope we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.”
Hole No. 15 is called “The Dinglehopper.” It features the Arnold Palmer quote, “It’s a funny thing; the more I practice, the luckier I get.”
Magnolia Course also has a new 18-hole putting green — the “Greatest Green Ever Played,” named for Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Greatest Game Ever Played” based on the life of golf champion Francis Ouimet. The putting green features a scorecard and hole locations that change almost daily.
