Universal Terra Luna Resort is now open. Terra Luna is the sister hotel to Universal Stella Nova Resort, and both are located near Epic Universe. Terra Luna’s celestial theming and layout is similar to that of Stella Nova and matches the theming of Epic Universe, particularly Celestial Park.
Universal Terra Luna Resort

The Universal Terra Luna Resort sign features an LED screen of changing colors, matching its reflective tile exterior.

The reflective tiles make the resort look like deep space, with rounded windows similar to spaceship portholes.

Guests traveled via a Dark Universe bus to the resort on opening day, March 25, 2025.

The bus stop has a curved silver-gray shade.

The porte-cochere at the hotel’s main entrance is a spacey white structure.

The pavement below and in front of the porte-cochere features a large orange and red circle.

There are planters of shrubs and palm trees throughout the parking lot.

At the opening, some Jurassic Park crew members were apparently checking into their resort, as their jeep was parked outside.

Of course, there are signs around the hotel directing guests to different areas. They’re oval-shaped to match the resort’s rounded architecture.

Rotating doors lead into the lobby.

The resort logo — shown here on a welcome mat — is green, yellow, and red.

A screen inside displays information about the day’s Universal Orlando Resort offerings and weather. There’s a QR code to scan for park hours.

Conical lights hang over the check-in counter.

Stanchions are set up as needed for queues at the various counters.

The Universal Studios Store entrance and Vacation Planning Center are immediately to the left upon entering the lobby.

There are blue armchairs chairs on blue circles of carpet throughout the space. A curved bench is next to the shop entrance.

A photo op at the back of the lobby features fake logs and a space background. Guests can pose holding a Universal Orlando Resort flag.

To the left are the elevators and first guest rooms.

Around the corner is another entrance to the gift shop and this dark porthole.

If you look through, you’ll see some projected celestial bodies.

There’s more seating in this hallway, including a large round conference table.

The table has built-in charging ports — but they didn’t work on opening morning.
There’s another sofa bench with armchairs and small round tables. The large windows have long white shutters.

An archway leads to the elevators, game room, and fitness center.

There are a total of six elevators.
The ceiling of the elevator bay features wavy light wood panels.

On the opposite side of the lobby from the elevators is Luna Bar.

This is where guests can get the Universal Terra Luna Resort refillable mug.
The back wall of the Omega Cafe and Market space is painted with a colorful space mural.

The current menu is on screens above the ordering counter.

There are also printed copies of all three menus.
Order pick-up is at this rounded archway past the cafe and market.

There are two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, coffee-makers, a microwave, a toaster, and other basic eatery supplies.

A beachball near one of the chaise lounges had dots of the same color as the resort’s exterior.
Signage on the deck of the pool warns “No entry shallow water.”
Other areas inform guests of the depth of the water.
One area of the pool features a walk-in area that slopes down as you enter.
A sign informs guests that swim diapers are available at Moonrise Bar.
Another area of the pool has lawn games such as Four In A Row, giant Tumbling Timbers, and Cornhole.
The boards have the same color scheme and starbursts as the theming of the Terra Luna Resort.
The Tumbling Timbers game had the instructions near it on the table.
There was also a ping pong table in the sand.
Another ping pong table was located on the pavement.
The hot tub is situated next to the pool.
A sign next to the hot tub lists the spa rules.

The tags have a QR code for mobile ordering from Moonrise Grill.
A view across the pool shows the resort building and the glass windows of the lobby.
There is an ADA pool lift to assist those who need help into the pool.
A grey box structure provides towels to guests with the towel return on the left.

The restroom area is located next to Moonrise Grill.

A sign beside the restrooms directs guests to the restrooms, Moonrise Grill, and the lobby.
Moonrise Bar & Grill
Moonrise Bar & Grill is divided into two sections, one for the bar and one for the grill ordering area. The bar has the same standard concrete around the pool, but the roof has semicircle lines resembling planets or a star chart.
There are multiple searing areas around the bar. The tables on the left side are a standard white with grey plastic chairs.
The celling in this section has white colored light fixtures that are angled up on the roof and some small ceiling fans.
Apart from the white tables, there are also some orange sections with shorter tables and rounded, orb-style chairs.
As with most resorts at Universal, the bar includes two Coke Freestyle machines for refilling beverages.
When we visited, the screens were advertising a mix of Sprite flavors.
The barstools are a taller version of the same grey plastic seats around the tables.
The menus for Moonrise Bar are bright blue and resemble a starry view of space.
The menu items are connected with dotted lines to resemble a constellation.

This front side of the menu advertises Lunar Libations and Comet Tail Crushers, all of which are drinks available for $16.

The opposite side the the menu includes a standard alcoholic beverage list and a selection of spirit-free beverages.
Behind the counter, the machines for making drinks are labels with a Moonrise Bar logo showing the different phases of the moon together on a line.
The glass case behind the counter has several of the bar’s alcoholic beverage options on display.
The central section displays many of the Terra Luna souvenir coups. The cups can be added to the purchase of any drink for $1.
Three TVs are placed on the tiled section behind the shelves. The tiles are multicolored and resemble the reflective tiles on the walls of the resort.
More of the orange, shorter-sized tables are spread out in the area by the bar.
As with the indoor bar, signs warn guests that alcohol can only be purchased by individuals aged 21 or older.

Directional signs in the resort’s usual green and maroon colors point guests to the Moonrise Grill ordering area and the bathrooms.
As you walk down the path, more signs point to the entrance of Moonrise Grill.
The path to Moonrise Grill is a further walk from the pool. The path is lined with straight light posts with curved indents.
Moonrise Grill is the only location accessible at the end of the path.
The sign for Moonrise Grill is different from the bar, with a semicircle over the word “Moonrise” instead of the phases.
The two sides of the window are divided by a maroon and black stanchion.
Guests walk up to the left window to order, and then pick up their order on the right side.
There is no seating at the Moonrise Grill area, so guests who want to sit and eat will need to grab a table by the bar.
The far right edge of the bar is a spot for walk-up service.
Guests can come over to this side to get a drink made on the go, as opposed to grabbing a seat at the counter.
The walk-up service are also includes a free water dispenser for anyone needing a glass of water.

The machine has slots for inserting cash or a credit card. Once complete, the machine will provide a game card and a receipt.

Finally, the wall closest to the door has a large Jurassic Park machine.
Fitness Center

The resort’s fitness center is located in the same hallway as the game room.

After this section, the hallways becomes more themed again as it turns into guest rooms.

Like the game room, the fitness center is labeled with an oval sign on the wall. This space is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The fitness center is located in a much larger room with white walls and a grey floor.

A shelf by the entrance holds free-to-use white towels next to a trash can.

The black bowl on top of the shelf included pre-packaged JS-75 earbuds.

A sign posted on the wall includes some general fitness center rules. Children under 13 are not allowed into the room, and children ages 13 to 15 must be accompanied by a guardian.

The wall on the right side has a shelf with smaller weights and movable equipment.

The stack on the floor includes some small step blocks and yoga mats.
