The menu for March 2025 is bright yellow and introduces a new character to the Gideon’s universe. Quinby Carpenter is described as an ambassador for the bees after a mythical Queen Bee granted him immortality.

Quinby Carpenter has come to us as an ambassador to the bees and needs your support. We never refuse to help our animal friends, so select items at Gideon’s this month will support bee charities and education in Florida. Who is this mysterious Quinby? Legend suggests that a mythical Queen Bee may have granted him immortality to eternally serve and care for ancient hives. We hope to unveil the full story of this unique phenomenon.

Despite the overall honey and bee theme of Gideon’s Bakehouse this month, the cookie flavor is the returning Peanut Butter Cold Brew cookie. This flavor was last released in May of 2024, so it has been just short of a year since it was last available. The predominant flavor comes from the peanut butter candy pieces, with a hint of chocolate in the middle.

The sweetness of the chocolate pairs very well with the saltiness of the peanut butter. The only downside is that the peanut butter definitely overpowers the cold brew, so there is no discernable taste of coffee. This cookie may have cold brew in its name, but it is definitely aimed at peanut butter lovers.

The inside of the cookie is chewy and soft, as most Gideon’s cookies usually are. Our only recommendation is to have some water or a cold brew in hand when you eat the cookie, because the peanut butter with added sea salt will make you very thirsty in a hurry.
