Characters will soon be out bright and early at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

Roaming Character Meet & Greets

A costumed character of Mickey Mouse, wearing red pants and a black jacket, poses inside the vibrant CommuniCore Hall, adorned with a colorful, nature-inspired mural.

One of the perks of staying on-site at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the early entry to select theme parks on select dates. Guests who take advantage of early entry will now be able to find some beloved characters out and about in the parks before they open to regular guests.

No details were given about the specific characters or where they will be found.

Some characters at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks have designated meet and greet areas while others are considered “roaming characters” who walk around and interact with guests.

At Magic Kingdom, characters from the Country Bear Musical Jamboree including Big Al, Shaker, and Wendell can be found roaming around Frontierland. Similarly, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios various “Star Wars” characters roam throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Disney also announced details of scheduled character appearances coming to select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

This is part of some limited-time magic centered around young guests. It will be offered from May 27 – September 1, 2025.
