Universal Orlando Resort Adds New Food and Beverages for Women’s ‘Herstory’ Month

Several new menu items have been added to restaurants around Universal Orlando Resort in celebration of Women’s ‘Herstory’ Month.

In addition to sharing images of several new dishes arriving to celebrate the month of March, Universal also shared an article on their blog where they highlighted the female chefs behind each new creation.

Fish in Coconut – $32

Hamachi filet, coconut rice, citrus cabbage salad, coconut gochujang sauce

A white bowl with a piece of salmon in orange sauce, a serving of white rice, and a side of shredded cabbage salad sits on a wooden table, perfectly capturing the new food and beverages trend celebrated during Women's Herstory Month.

The first dish has been added to the menu at The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar in CityWalk. Cowfish Chef Dania Alvarez-King created the dish based on her childhood in Samana, Dominican Republic, and combined her family’s flavor profiles with traditional Asian spices to fit the menu at Cowfish.

Carbonara DeMoss – $25

Fresh handmade spaghetti, egg enriched pancetta cream, pecorino romano, grana padana

A hand twirls spaghetti with sausage and a poached egg on a blue-patterned plate, placed invitingly on a wooden table. This delicious scene is reminiscent of the rich culinary experiences one might savor during Women's Herstory Month at Universal Orlando Resort.

The next new item was created by Chef Alexis DeMoss for VIVO Italian Kitchen in CityWalk. The dish combines classic spaghetti noodles, pecorino cheese, and is topped with a poached egg.

Lavender Mint Margarita – $18

Cayeya blanco tequila, lime juice, fresh mint, lavender syrup, and simple syrup

A hand holds a vibrant, colorful glass of cocktail adorned with mint leaves and ice, reminiscent of the lively spirit at Universal Orlando—where every sip celebrates Women's Herstory Month.

The item designed by the chefs at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food is based on the blanco tequila made by female distiller Zandra Gómez and the original Lavender Mint Margarita created by Abigail Gullo. The drink is more floral than a traditional margarita and is described as a sweet, refreshing beverage.

Women are Innovators Cocktail – $16.25

BACARDI Superior rum, lime juice, blueberry concentrate, simple syrup, and Cavicchioli 1928 Prosecco

A hand elegantly holds a glass of red cocktail, garnished with cherries and a mint leaf, outdoors against a blurred backdrop—an exquisite touch to any celebration, be it Women's Herstory Month or an outing at Universal Orlando Resort.

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen is celebrating Women’s Herstory Month with a cocktail developed by Toothsome bartender Grace Dudley. Dudley wanted to pay homage to the original Old Cuban cocktail, with was created my famous female bartender Audrey Saunders.

Crispy Reuben Rolls

Corned beef, cabbage, onions, Swiss cheese, and a mustard-horseradish sauce inside pastelito dough

Four crispy egg rolls are arranged on a white plate around a small metal cup filled with sauce, garnished with chopped herbs—a delicious treat you might savor at Universal Orlando Resort.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida is home to two new items for the month, though neither of them have been listed on the digital menu with prices yet. The Reuben rolls are an appetizer created by Chef Ross Sequera Torres as a blend between the filling of a Reuben with an outer shell of an empanada.

Grilled Lamb Sliders

Ground lamb patty topped with melted provolone, arugula, and harissa mayonnaise on a sweet brioche bun, served with a side of savory pub chips

Savor a burger with lettuce and two skewers on a bun, served alongside golden fries and a splash of dipping sauce on a white plate—a culinary delight reminiscent of the delicious offerings at Universal Orlando Resort.

Like the Reuben rolls, the grilled lamb sliders at Finnegan’s Bar & Grill have no price because they have not yet been added to the online menu yet. The sliders, which were created by Chef Carmela Gregory, feature a ground lamb patty with melted provolone cheese and a brioche bun.

Fresh Strawberry & White Chocolate Mousse Butter Cake – $12

A delightful dessert with layered strawberries, whipped cream, and mint on a white plate is held by a person. This tempting creation not only tantalizes the taste buds but also celebrates Women's Herstory Month through its artistry in food and beverages.

The final new item has been added to the menu at Mythos in Universal Islands of Adventure. The dessert was a collaboration between Chef Justin Jones and Assistant Chef Britney Dreasher. Unlike most of the other new items, the butter cake is vegetarian, though not vegan.

In addition to all of the new menu items previewed by Universal, the post also mentioned that Mythos Restaurant, Confisco Grille, and Lombard’s Seafood Grille are all serving specialty wines from winemaker Stephanie Dutton. The specialty wine options are not listed on the digital restaurant menus, so interested guests will need to ask their server for more information.
