In honor of Season of the Force 2025, a new nighttime projection show has debuted in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” is projected on the spires of Batuu each night and will continue after Season of the Force ends.
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga
Like “Fire of the Rising Moons,” “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” is presented by Tohan Lege a.k.a. the Lore-weaver. Lege appears via a projection at the start of the show — the first time his physical appearance has been seen as he’s only a voice during “Fire of the Rising Moons.” Lege is long gone, but his droid, Bard, keeps his legacy and the legacy of his stories going.
Lege invites guests to join him around the “fire of memory for a tale of prophecy.” The show takes guests through the Skywalker Saga, the story chronicled in the three “Star Wars” trilogies, following the family from Anakin’s childhood on Tatooine.

It starts off looking at Anakin’s childhood as a slave on Tatooine, showing shadows of podracers across the spires.

The next segment heads to Naboo, to Padmé’s family’s home in the Lake Country. Lege tells their love story with the pair sharing a kiss on the largest spire.

Things take a dark turn as Force lightning destroys the spire’s front, exposing a hollowed out petrified stump where we learn of Anakin’s fear leading him down the path to the dark side.

He flickers between Vader and Anakin (the latter of whom is pictured similarly to the shot in the movie just before he goes killing younglings at the Coruscant Jedi Temple).

It follows Anakin’s journey, leading to the showdown between the newly-named Darth Vader and his old Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi on the molten world of Mustafar.

Obi-Wan is seen taking the twins after Padmé’s death. The next segment paints a galaxy across the spires and talks of the twins. A constellation of Leia is made on the biggest spire.

An icy Hoth scene is next, complete with shadows of AT-ATs fighting X-wings.

Luke then travels to Dagobah to train with Master Yoda. Their silhouettes are seen with Luke carrying Yoda through the bog, Luke balancing Yoda on his foot, and the iconic lifting of the X-wing.

In congruency with the original story, Luke and Vader’s showdown in Cloud City is seen.

Finally, Luke’s part of the Skywalker Saga heads to the Forest Moon of Endor. The Death Star is destroyed and the Rebels celebrate with their new Ewok friends.

Finally, we see a projection of Tohan Lege. He pushes the importance of remembering the Jedi and their legacy while the galaxy faces dark times once again.
