The opening date has seemingly been revealed for World Premiere, the reimagined entrance to Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris.
World Premiere Opening Date
Disney previously stated World Premiere would open this spring. The entrance gift shop, Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique, and restaurant, The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, are both scheduled to open on April 26, indicating the rest of World Premiere will open the same day.
World Premiere replaces Studio 1, which closed last April. During the year-long reimagining, a bypass around the building acted as the park’s entrance street. The area around Studio 1 was also updated. A new theater façade was installed inside World Premiere last fall.
Disney Parks Blog stated, “World Premiere will bring a brand-new story paying homage to historic movie theaters in Hollywood and the entertainment industry. An even more immersive experience than before, you’ll find numerous references to Los Angeles, Disney and other parks hidden within the sets. You might even recognize the façade of the historic Animation Building found on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank.”
The restaurant was formerly Restaurant en Coulisse. It has been transformed into The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, inspired by a movie premiere party. It will offer quick service options and dining under the stars all day. There will also be takeaway snacks and drinks at the Searchlight kiosk.
Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique features Art Deco-style décor inspired by the classic American department stores of the 1920s, with a touch of Disney. Mickey will be honored with nods on the wallpaper, furniture, and Cast Member costumes. A golden statue of Mickey designed by legendary Disney Animation director and animator Eric Goldberg will stand at the center of the store.
The debut of World Premiere is part of a major reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park, which will be renamed Disney Adventure World when its Adventure Bay expansion opens, including the World of Frozen. The expansion will also feature a new “Tangled” spinning ride, The Regal View Restaurant, and a nighttime spectacular on the lake. Later, a new Pride Lands area inspired by “The Lion King” will also open along Adventure Bay.
