Universal Volcano Bay is ending their TapuTapu wearable device and virtual lines, and closing for five months starting next fall.
The Universal Orlando Resort website states, “Starting October 1, 2025, the TapuTapu wearable and virtual line will no longer be available. Guests can access attractions queues at their leisure.”
The TapuTapu wearable is a complimentary offering given to all guests upon arrival and returned when leaving. It’s used to access attractions, open rental lockers, activate interactive elements, and more. All Volcano Bay rides currently use virtual line, with guests joining a queue by tapping their TapuTapu at an attraction and returning when the wearable device vibrated.
Universal Volcano Bay will begin a seasonal closure on October 26, 2026, and reopen on or before March 24, 2027.
